About

I am originally from the San Jose Area (Silicon Valley as some folks like to call it). I graduated from Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, CA. I am currently studying Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University where I plan on graduating in May 2006. As for my plans after school, I am joining a Baltimore-based asset management firm.

The title “Poker On The Street” is a tribute to the book “Liar’s Poker” by Michael Lewis about Wall Street during the 1980s. The game Liar’s Poker is basically playing BS with the serial numbers on $1 bills. Somebody makes a bid like 3 7’s and anyone can up the bid with the same quantity of a higher number (3 9’s) or a higher quantity (4 5’s). This goes on until someone calls BS. Interesting note is that on Wall Street this can be a high stakes game with pots up to $1,000,000.
